In Moments Film Festival (IMFF) is a professional film and video event that integrates short film competitions, forums, and screenings. It is dedicated to supporting Chinese youth in film and media creation at universities around the world.
"IM" stands for "In Moments," symbolizing "from this moment on." As a supporter and witness to the growth of young filmmakers, IM encourages emerging creators to use film as a medium to express sincere perspectives on social development in a diverse era.
As the largest and most prestigious youth film exchange event across the Taiwan Strait, IM is committed to helping young creators realize their creative dreams. To date, it has awarded a total of 11 million RMB in prizes, witnessed 683 short films receive awards at domestic and international film festivals, and supported numerous feature-length projects that have entered filming or post-production stages. At IM, winning is just the beginning—creation never stops.

MAIN COMPETITION
The IM Short Film Main Competition adopts an open call format, inviting submissions from Chinese university students and young directors worldwide. Eligible entries include narrative and non-narrative short films completed after January 1, 2024, with a runtime between 10 and 30 minutes. All submissions will undergo a preliminary and secondary review by the festival jury, followed by nomination. A total of 50 films will be shortlisted for the final round. During the festival, the final jury will conduct the last round of evaluations and vote on the award winners.
